A while ago I posted a blog post about Terje Sørgjerd and his magnificent video "The Mountain". Following him and getting to know his work is inspiring, but today he announced this on his Facebook Page:
This is the case: Nikon launched their D800 model and within the promo they took scenes from his videos. Even though it's still unknown if Nikon breached copyright rights, the fact they used films shot with Canon 5d Mark II in a D800 advert is in a way disturbing. The power of advertising used to create a deception within the consumers, in my opinion, can't be justified.
